The Extraordinary Draw of the Christmas Lottery will be held this Friday, December 22 at 9:00 a.m. at the Teatro Real in Madrid. The Royal Spanish Academy of Language (RAE) defines pedrea as the “set of minor Lottery prizes.” These are the numbers drawn at random from the pot and do not correspond to any of the five main prizes.
The Extraordinary Draw also has so-called approximations, which are prizes that are awarded to those numerical combinations that are close to the main prizes. As indicated by the State Lottery and Betting, there are a total of 15,304 prizes in the series valued at 14,000,000 euros.
As for the approximations, there are a total of two of 20,000 euros each to the numbers before and after the one obtained in the Jackpot; This is repeated with the second and third prize. In addition, 999 prizes of 1,000 euros each are distributed to tickets whose last two figures are the same as those of the first prize (also with the second and third prize).
A total of 99 prizes of 1,000 euros each are distributed to the 99 remaining numbers of the Gordo’s hundred (third figure), 9,999 refunds of 200 euros each to the tickets whose last figure is equal to that of the one obtained by the Gordo and 198 prizes of 1,000 euros each for the remaining 99 numbers of the hundred of the two fourth prizes.
According to information from State Lotteries and Betting, considering all the prizes that will be distributed in the Extraordinary Draw of the Christmas Lottery, up to 20,000 euros could be won for every euro played. This situation would only occur if we became the winners of the highly desired first prize.
100 could be won for each approach to the first prize, 6,250 euros for each euro if the second prize was won and 62.50 for each approach to this.
