In this report in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can see two of the consequences of drought and heat waves on agriculture and livestock.

On the one hand, the farmers readjust the departure times of the herds and, on the other, the unmowed cereal fields have ended up being used for grass, with the harvest lost.

This summer is going to be disastrous for agriculture and livestock. The herds must go out to graze early and late in the day. These illustrative images have been captured in Sant Martí Sescorts.

The sheep suffer from the extreme temperatures that are being registered with the heat waves, with thermometers marking up to 45 degrees in the Osona region. For this reason, this herd goes out to graze early in the morning.

We can observe how the land through which the flock passes is so dry and lacking in rain that the sheep raise clouds of dust.

Finally, we can see these scenes that show how the sheep graze the cereal fields that have not been able to be mowed due to the drought. Sad!
