The Lakers beat the Timberwolves this morning 120-109. The victory of the Angelenos, the most unpredictable team in the NBA, was based on Anthony Davis, who achieved historic numbers: 27 points, 25 rebounds, five assists, seven steals and three blocks. He is the first player in history with a game of more than 25 points, 25 rebounds and five steals.
Despite Davis’ display, the Lakers were dense, especially during the first three quarters. The Angelenos, before the break, had already given away 11 balls, and ended the match with 20 turnovers. In addition, they allowed the Wolves players to shoot freely from the perimeter, who scored ten triples in the first three periods.
Dervin Ham’s team reacted in the fourth act, with a run of 21-4 that left the game in doubt. The Timberwolves missed nine consecutive shots and Davis left no rebound options (21 of the 25 he captured were in the second half).
