The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has announced its weather forecast for the rest of Easter. It is one of the most popular weeks when it comes to traveling, registering the highest number of road trips throughout the year in our country.

Despite the fact that the first weekend was marked by high temperatures and spring weather in a large part of the peninsula, AEMET has confirmed the presence of some showers in parts of the north and east of the peninsula for Saturday.

Mario Picazo, professional meteorologist for eltiempo.es, predicts: “The final stretch of Holy Week arrives with stable weather in our country, despite the fact that we will see more clouds between Friday and Sunday”, so it is generally not known will produce heavy rainfall. We may witness a drop, “but very isolated, because the anticyclone continues to dominate and the storms remain further north in Spain,” says Picazo.

The meteorology expert expects a certain balance in temperatures, the most notable being “a little more fresh air hovering around the Mediterranean to keep the heat contained”, so that the Spanish will be able to enjoy clear skies in a large part of the peninsula.

The temperatures will be “very mild” in a large part of the country: “On Holy Thursday we will have typically anticyclonic weather. The night frosts will lessen in the northern half of the peninsula and the maximum will rise in the southern half, reaching a maximum of 30 °C in the city of Seville”, affirms the Meteored portal.

Regarding Friday, there will hardly be any changes in the storm, since clear skies are expected in almost the entire country; Even so, some cloudiness is expected on the Mediterranean coast, which could lead to showers.

As for Saturday, temperatures will continue to rise, reaching over 30 degrees in cities like Seville and Granada, and the wind will continue to blow at strong intervals in the eastern Cantabrian Sea and in the Strait area. However, anticyclonic weather is expected on Sunday, with the presence of some showers “in the interior of Catalonia and in the south of the Iberian System and mountains in the interior of the provinces of Valencia and Alicante.”
