It was in 2021 when the former politician managed to get out of prison after being diagnosed with a “serious and incurable illness.” Little by little, more details are becoming known about his state of health, and the latest have been revealed by his daughters and his ex-wife, Mayte Zaldívar.
Three years after Julián Muñoz’s release, his state of health is once again making headlines. Isabel Pantoja’s ex is receiving the support of her daughters Elia and Eloísa, and her ex-wife, Mayte Zaldívar. “He feels bad, nothing new,” the mother of his daughters, with whom he currently has a cordial relationship for their sake, told the press.

Added to this whole situation are the health problems that Muñoz has been experiencing in recent years. For months, the former Marbella mayor has been living with several illnesses, something he opened up about in the documentary Julián Muñoz: It is not the time for revenge, it is the time of truth. “The second time I went to prison I wanted to fight for my freedom because I was sick. I had had a stroke. My fight focused on ensuring that I would not die in prison. I weighed 64 kilos. I became diabetic, I became deaf , I had problems with heart attacks… A disaster,” he explained then.
As has become known in recent years, the former mayor of the Andalusian city has “all his arteries touched” and has several stents, small tubes that expand and allow blood circulation to be restored in vessels and arteries that have become blocked. Apparently, three of them are located in the coronary artery and two in the legs. We will have to wait to have more details about the former politician’s health, but for the moment the prognosis is worrying.
