Originally from Uppsala, Sweden, Seger had a successful collegiate career, totaling 74 points in 65 games with Cornell from 2022-24. Prior to his time at Cornell, he played for Union College from 2019-22, where he recorded 43 points in 71 appearances. Seger’s talent was evident early on when he was named to the ECAC All-Rookie Team during his 2019-20 season with Union College.
Before coming to North America, Seger played junior hockey in Sweden with Brynäs IF and Växjö HC. He had an impressive junior career, with notable achievements such as winning a J20 silver medal in 2018 with Växjö and a U16 silver medal in 2014 with Brynäs. His success in the junior leagues showcased his skills as a promising young player.
