If Fermín Muguruza is a candidate for a Goya, “Goya ETA”. If Edu Madina and María Jáuregui, victims of ETA, wish them luck, they “launder” ETA. If Alberto Núñez Feijóo attends the ceremony to meet his double –Luis Zahera–, the PP “approaches” the PSOE and ETA. If Muguruza does not win the Goya for best animated film for Black is beltza 2: Ainhoa, “Pedro Sánchez has not gotten away with it” but “Goya ETA” has.

Goya, ETA, Otegi, abertzale. It is the combination that the far-right media speakers, tweeters and tiktokers used the days before the Spanish film gala in Seville. During the past week, the giant replicas of the big-head woke up with posters of “Goya ETA”, and the Vox spokeswoman, Cristina Peláez, maintained that the ceremony with the presence of Muguruza was “one more chapter of the whitening of ETA”. Tweets and more tweets from Vox, Vox followers, The new spirit of Ermua, Captain Thunder, bots and more bots…

The campaign did not work. Outside the digital bubble, the photographers welcomed Muguruza singing Kortatu’s Sarri Sarri, and Antonio de la Torre, presenter of the gala and one of the film’s voices, promised his particular Sarri Sarri. “As Benedetti said, joy must be defended like a trench and we come with that attitude,” Muguruza temporized before the gala. He left without Goya, thanking Andalusia and freeing himself: “And as @rosalia said: ‘Fuck Vox! ‘” And thousands of likes.

The campaign made a lot of noise and few searches. The peaks of the “Goya ETA” were fleeting. The campaign was left out of the auditorium of the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos, like Alcarràs, out of the list of winners. And it is that not even As bestas, with its 9 Goya, was as successful on Google as Leticia Dolera, Eduardo Cruz, Belén Rueda… There was competition, Cinco lobitos exceeded 100,000 searches on Saturday and Model 77 took the throne of moviegoers on Sunday . Even Fernando Esteso had his moment.

No sign of Muguruza, Vox… nor of the dictator in his bed… The comment of the TVE journalist Carlos del Amor before the 1985 Argentina award – “what luck to see a dictator tried and convicted and not dying in a bed ”– drew applause and criticism, according to the timeline. “Very fan”, “wonderful”, “Goya for the best journalist”… And on the other side: “Sanchista propaganda”, “anti-Franco journalists are pro-ETARRAs”.

The dictator’s ghost misled Vox on the networks. Unicorn Wars snatched the award from Muguruza with – according to Esquire – “a gruesome holy war between unicorns and bears”. Will they be ETA?
