Esteban González Pons, Macarena Montesinos and Alberto Fabra will be the heads of the PP list for Congress for Valencia, Alicante and Castellón respectively. Their appointments were expected due to the political weight that each one of them has in the provinces they are going to represent and because of their excellent harmony with both Genoa and the Valencian PP.
The case of Esteban González Pons was the most anticipated. The MEP is a person of absolute confidence of Alberto Núñez Feijóo and is playing a key role in the new national leadership and in the relations of the Spanish PP with the European institutions. In addition, he is the liaison person between Genoa and the leadership of the Valencian PP chaired by Carlos Mazón.
Macarena Montesinos, current deputy, also maintains an excellent relationship with Carlos Mazón. Regarding Alberto Fabra, who was the head of the list for Castellón for the regional elections, the suspicion that he would occupy a starting position to return to Madrid is confirmed. The Valencian expresident was now a senator and will now return as a national deputy.
