Last Sunday was the last day of the Mercat del Ram de Vic and, with the first light of the sun, the balloons came out of the Plaça del Mercat.

From the river Mèder you could see the beautiful old town with the imposing cathedral and the Adoberies, as can be seen in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

On this occasion the almost clear sky with some windy clouds was adorned by the balloons participating in the 40th edition of the Mercat del Ram International Balloon Tournament.

The Mèder River is a tributary of the Gurri River, which in turn flows into the Ter River. It has a length of about 14.5 km and a height difference of 365 meters.

Born in the municipal term of Santa Eulàlia de Riuprimer. Its basin also includes the municipalities of Montanyola, Sant Bartolomé del Grau, Gurb and Vic.

For its part, the great church of Sant Pere, the cathedral of Vic, combines different styles in one building: Romanesque, neoclassical, Gothic and Baroque.
