Baxi Manresa won another Catalan derby, this time against Joventut Badalona and by 102-89, to leave the dream of the Copa del Rey more alive than ever.

The game started with both teams stuck in attack, until a 2 1 by Andrew Andrews caused an exchange of baskets in a very even match.

The black-and-white team, in the blink of an eye, took the lead from long distance with an inspired Pau Ribas.

At the start of the third quarter, Baxi Manresa came out with a point more energy than its rival and took advantage of it to get the audience out of their seats.

The script did not change, quite the opposite, with a very nervous Joventut who saw how Andrés Feliz had to leave the game after an unsportsmanlike foul and a technical in the same play.

The black and greens were not able to end Baxi Manresa’s lead until three minutes from the end of the third quarter, with a basket by Vladimir Brodziansky.

Moments later, Baxi Manresa stepped on the accelerator to take Penya off the court with two triples from Devin Robinson and Brandon Taylor.

In the last minute of the period, the referees disqualified Pau Ribas after two technical fouls, and Pedro Martínez’s team closed the score at 79-61 before facing the last ten minutes of the game.

La Penya signed a partial start of 0-5 in the last quarter, to attempt a practically impossible comeback, but between Robinson and Sagnia they were in charge of eliminating this assumption very quickly.

Devin Robinson, with 26 points and 8 rebounds, was the most outstanding player of the clash. Baxi Manresa held the lead until the end and achieved victory in the Catalan derby against Joventut Badalona by 102-89.
