The Gestinet company, specialized in computer maintenance services, has closed the 2023 financial year with revenues of 3.5 million euros, a figure that this year plans to increase to 5 million.

The company, based in Vilafranca del Penedès, wants to gain ground with cybersecurity services aimed at companies and administrations, its usual clientele since it began its journey in 1998.

Since then, the company has grown through word of mouth but would not have gotten this far without its efforts to position itself on Google as a computer company. “We often update our content on the web and invest in SEO positioning,” comments Josep Maria Vives, founder and general director of Gestinet, who assures that more than 60% of clients arrive through the internet.

Currently, the company works for 600 clients, mainly in Catalonia but also in the rest of Spain, where it expanded three years ago. “I have always been a restless businessman with a desire to grow, even in the beginning when no one understood how internet modems worked,” says the owner.

With 40 people on staff, and plans to reach 60 by the end of the year, the company recorded an ebitda (gross profit) of approximately 900,000 euros, 25% of total income. “We have resources to grow. We have just invested in new offices in Vilafranca. “We want to vindicate the role and potential of the business community outside Barcelona,” he says.

In addition, Gestinet is open to growing through acquisitions of small competitors in Catalonia. At the same time, Vives is open to selling the business if he finds a large complementary company that will allow him to expand rapidly in the market.
