In full exit operation, gasoline and diesel have risen for the second consecutive week, 0.5% and 0.9%, respectively. The average price of gasoline stood at 1,602 euros per liter and that of diesel at more than 1,453 euros, according to data from the European Union (EU) Oil Bulletin, collected between July 11 and 17 at 11,400 service stations.
Compared to the first week of 2023, gasoline has become more expensive by 15.8%, unlike diesel, which has fallen by 0.48%.
In any case, gasoline is 12.3% cheaper and diesel 18% than a year ago, when the discount of 20 cents per liter approved by the Government was still in force. Currently filling a 55-liter tank with gasoline costs 88.11 euros and to do it with diesel about 79.91 euros, lower than a year ago 12.3 and 17.5 euros, respectively.
The prices of both fuels remain far from the highs they reached last year with the energy crisis caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In the last week, fuels in Spain have once again been below the average registered in the EU, where the average price of gasoline has been 1.738 euros per liter and diesel 1.589 euros. In the eurozone, the average per liter stood at 1,794 euros for gasoline and 1,618 euros for diesel.
