After his foray into Beethoven’s symphonies, Jordi Savall now tackles one of the greatest symphonic-choral music of all time, the Missa solemnis. And Club Vanguardia does not want subscribers to miss it. Therefore, raffle six tickets to attend the concert on May 18 at 7:00 p.m. at L’Auditori de Barcelona.
Each winner will get a prize of two tickets to follow the recital live under the direction of Savall and with a cast made up of Le Concert des Nations, the National Chapel of Catalonia Rachel Redmond (soprano). Olivia Vermeulen (alto), Martin Platz (tenor) and Manuel Walser (baritone).
Beethoven created the Missa solemnis on the occasion of the consecration of Archduke Rudolf, son of Emperor Leopold II, as bishop. It is a practically contemporary piece of the Ninth symphony.
The participation deadline is May 10, 2023, while the draw will take place the following day, May 11.
