The artist Rocayats, born in Bescanó, has been one of the guests at the second edition of the Contemporary and Emerging Art Show, organized by the art curator Alexandra Planas Camps.

The exhibition could be visited during the Fira de l’Embotit held every year in this town of Gironès.

Throughout the day, visitors were able to discuss the exhibited works with the artist and were also able to find out about the events he carries out together with Adriana Bernácer, head of communication, image and project search for the Rocayats team.

Among his works presented we could see the sculpture El descans, made in marble and a copy of it made in bronze. This piece belongs to a small collection of sculptures with a very classical air that the artist made years ago.

A representative model of the Cocollona legend made of Italian Carrara marble has also been presented to the public for the first time.

He is one of the most well-known and beloved legends of the city of Girona. The artist tells us in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia that it has been an enormous satisfaction for him to be able to present this sculpture for the first time in his hometown.

A work that we will be able to see made in a large size in the future within the framework of an exhibition that is being prepared in the city of Girona.

And as the last piece, L’Elefant de Peluix stands out. The main characteristic of this work is that it is still in the process of being carried out, thus appreciating the marks of the tools.

As the sculptor tells us: “I wanted to show people an unfinished work where you can appreciate different finishes. The intention is to be able to explain to all interested people the steps that are followed throughout the creation process.”

The artist Rocayats is very active on social networks, where you can follow the evolution of his work.
