The most prestigious fashion houses in the world have displayed all their magic this week in Paris. The days dedicated to haute couture in the French capital have hosted these days names such as Chanel, Elie Saab or Valentino. Only a few firms can currently afford to produce a haute couture collection, since the requirements of this art, purely handmade clothing with the highest quality fabrics, are inaccessible to most firms but also to the pockets of consumers.

Haute couture week comes to a close this Friday. Throughout these days, the trends of this type of fashion have been described, which, in some way, are linked to what will be seen next winter in the seasonal collections: 3D details, cut-out patterns, pieces full of shine and sconces and rigid armor-style bodies.

Virgine Viard has portrayed the sensitive but daring Parisian in her haute couture collection for winter 2023. A strong woman who dresses in sophisticated coats but with modern touches, a gold two-piece with comfortable ballerinas and fluid and versatile chiffon dresses.

“Playing with opposites and contrasts, with carelessness and elegance, is like standing on a line between strength and delicacy, which at Chanel is what we call charm”, the dressmaker remarked about her line in a press release.

A metallic dress takes over the Balenciaga salon, located at 10 Avenue George V. The piece evokes knightly armor and reinforces the idea of ??rigidity and structure that obsesses luxury this season.

The famous Demna Gvasalia has reflected on the structure of tailoring in his haute couture collection for autumn 2023. The third haute couture line designed by the couturier for Balenciaga brings new volumes to the suit and evening dress to create interesting and imposing visual effects silhouettes.

Elie Saab gives a lesson in elegance and romanticism without straying from its codes and its essence. The line of the Lebanese designer is committed to glitter, crystal appliqués, feathers that form spectacular mosaics and opulent volumes.

The mix of styles also reaches haute couture with Valentino. The top model Kaia Gerber demonstrated it in this parade, who walked the Valentino catwalk in jeans and a shirt with a lot of body. A set with which Pierpaolo Piccioli redefines haute couture.

The Italian designer is also committed to the essence of haute confection with spectacular dresses that give a new dimension to 3D details.

Maria Grazia Chiuri has transported her guests from the Dior haute couture show to ancient Greece. Pleated dresses, sinuous capes and structured tunics dress the empowered goddesses of Dior this winter.
