In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can contemplate the popular Gorg de la Truja with very little water, but frozen, due to the low winter temperatures, in Santa Eulàlia de Riuprimer, in the region of Osona.
It is a natural pool that has been formed over the course of the Mèder. In this section, this river narrows to overcome a drop of almost 30 meters in several small waterfalls.
The steepest one, with a small waterfall, ends in a wider and deeper area, a kind of hole, probably formed by the erosion caused by the waterfall.
The Gorg de la Truja is located east of Santa Eulàlia de Riuprimer, past the Font Gran. To get there you can follow the Mèder river, precisely, from the Font Gran, or you can take the road from Vic to Moià and Calaf through Súria (BV-4316) and, at km 8, you will find the detour, at the right, to reach the Codina farmhouse. At this point you cross the road heading south and you will find a path that allows you to access the upper part of the Gorg.
Santa Eulàlia de Riuprimer is a small town protected by the western mountain range, but which opens onto the Plana de Vic. It is located 6 km from the regional capital and at an altitude of 568 meters. It is essentially mountainous and populated by thick forests and pastures.
