The Serranos marked an entire generation. Years go by and there are many who fondly remember those moments when Telecinco broadcast one of the series most loved by the Spanish population. Its last episode came out on July 17, 2008, and now, almost sixteen years later, one of its protagonists has revealed the salary he received during filming. The actor in question was none other than Fran Perea, Marcos in fiction, one of the most beloved characters in the production.
In addition to having his role in fiction, Perea was in charge of giving voice to the introductory song of the series, his legendary Uno más uno son 7. The actor has become a renowned artist, and over the years New projects have been coming out. However, he has recently spoken about his time in Los Serrano on the La Escalera Roja podcast.
In this conversation, it has drawn attention that the artist, 45 years old, has revealed the amount of money he earned to represent the son of Lucía and Diego (Belén Rueda and Antonio Resines in reality). “What was the most you have ever charged for an episode of Los Serrano?” they asked Fran. Then, the actor pointed out that the figures were around five figures. “I don’t remember well, between 10,000 and 12,000 euros, I think,” he revealed.
As he himself revealed, the actor earned an average of 3,000 euros per episode, and all this taking into account that every week he worked from Monday to Friday, and there were other weeks in which he also had to go to the filming set on weekends. With all this, and responding to the question of the money he could earn per season, Fran Perea confessed to having earned a sum of 60,000 or 70,000 euros for a single season. It should be remembered that the production finally had a total of eight seasons.
After passing through the series, Fran’s presence on television decreased, although she had a role in several episodes of Hospital Central. The actor wanted to focus on cinema, and together with Paco León, he starred in Los Managers (2006). He also participated in The Way of the English (2006), Antonio Banderas’ second film as director. He was also part of the cast of the film The Thirteen Roses (2007) and Balada triste de trumpeta, by director Álex de la Iglesia (2010), among others.
Perea has also participated in different plays, such as Don Juan, the Trickster of Seville, among others. Regarding her musical career, in 2003 she became number 1 on the Spanish music charts with her famous Uno más uno son 7. Her first album, The Girl in the Room Next Door, came out in October of that same year, with songs composed by Pau Donés, Coti and Xabi San Martín. In June 2005, his second album was released: Punto y Apart, of which six songs were composed by himself and his band. On April 26, 2010 he released his third album: Old acquaintances, this time under his own music label, Sinfonía en Nobemol, in Spain.
