Four squatters arrested for assaulting the owner who tried to recover his house

Four people have been arrested after trying to occupy a house in the neighborhood of La Paz, in Cádiz, and attacking the owner with bladed weapons, who tried to recover his house by entering through the window.

The event occurred this Tuesday around 8:00 p.m. in a building on Avenida Guadalquivir, as reported by the Cádiz City Council. Several neighbors notified the local police and the owner of the house that two men and two women had entered the house, taking advantage of the fact that it was under construction, with the aim of occupying it.

Before the police officers arrived, the owner tried to recover the house on his own, located on the first floor. Not being able to access through the door, he took a ladder and tried to enter through the window, which was open.

At that moment two occupants began to attack him with blows, a knife, an ax and throwing glass bottles at him while he remained hanging. In fact, as can be seen in several videos recorded by witnesses, the victim was on the verge of falling several times, although she managed to resist until the police arrived.

The municipal agents arrested the four people who had entered the house, while the health services treated the owner, who had suffered several bruises and stab wounds.

National Police sources have opened an investigation to clarify what happened and determine the degree of responsibility of each of the people involved, who are accused of the crime of home occupation and serious threats.
