Four crew members of a sailboat have been rescued half a mile from the town of Barbate (Cádiz) after the impact of orcas on the boat in which they were traveling. The sailboat could not be towed because it was completely full of water.

Maritime Rescue sources have informed Europa Press that the notice was received around 00:00 this Friday. The crew of the Alborán Champagne sailboat warned at that moment that they had a broken rudder and a leak as a result of the impact of orcas.

The Salvamar Enif and the Helimer 222 have been mobilized. The Salvamar has rescued the four crew members of the boat, who already had their life jackets on, but they have not been able to tow the sailboat as it was full of water. She has been left adrift and with a special light activated to notify the rest of the boats.
