The authorities of Senegal have intercepted a boat with 690 kilos of cocaine on board and have detained its five crew members, all of them Spanish nationals, as reported this Sunday by the Armed Forces of the African country.
The operation occurred on Friday, when a Navy patrol boat intercepted a fast boat that supposedly intended to take drugs to Europe about 220 kilometers from the coast. The military made “verbal warnings and shots” to stop the boat, says the official statement.
Both the five detainees and the drugs were already at the disposal of the Senegalese authorities on Saturday, who have distributed images of the seized material.
