The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested five people for stealing copper cable with the aim of selling it. The events occurred this Wednesday at four in the afternoon when a plainclothes patrol that was traveling on the N-260, near Navata, in Alt Empordà (Girona), saw a van and stopped it. Inside, he found a large amount of this pressed and half-burned material.
None of the occupants could explain their origin and destination.
The agents arrested them for a crime of receiving. These are five men, one of them with a police record, aged between 20 and 49 years. The five have been brought to justice.
