Dawn in the church of Sant Andreu de Gurb becomes a festival of colors in the sky, as can be seen in this series of photographs in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

Sant Andreu de Gurb is a church with Romanesque and neoclassical elements. It is the largest of the four parishes in this municipality of the Osona region.

It is located at the very foot of the characteristic hill of the Gurb castle, at an altitude of 563 meters. This church appears documented in the year 942 and must first have belonged to the lords of the castle, the county vicars of the Gurb-Queralt family, but from the beginning it served as a parish church.

Gurb is located in the Plana de Vic and is made up of four parishes; Sant Andreu de Gurb, Sant Cristòfol de Vespella, Sant Julià Sassorba and Sant Esteve de Granollers de la Plana. Farmhouses and fields abound, but it also houses the multinational Casa Tarradellas at an economic level.

The Creu de Gurb is also a symbol in the Osona region, since it is visible not only from this town, but from other places in the area, such as the capital, Vic.

Gurb Castle is located in the center (841 meters) of the municipality, on top of the characteristic hill. It stands right behind the old parish church of Sant Andreu. It is crowned by this large iron cross known as the Creu de Gurb.
