The head of the opposition, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, demands that the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, assume responsibility for the “legal botch” that, in his opinion, represents the Law of Sexual Freedom or the only yes is yes, which “unprotects ” to Spanish women, as he has pointed out, in the face of sexual assaults.

“The Penal Code is not a set of political slogans,” exclaimed Feijóo, for whom any legal reform must be addressed with “meticulousness” in the classification of criminal behavior. “We warned you”, he has warned about the legal deficiencies of the reform promoted by the Ministry of Equality, “and it has been so”.

For this reason, the president of the PP has demanded that the Government assume all responsibilities for having carried out a legal reform “against the criteria of the corresponding bodies”, in reference to the negative report of the Council of State, and also of his parliamentary group in Congress, the only one, along with that of Vox, that voted against the initiative of the department of Minister Irene Montero.

Without mentioning them, Feijóo has called for the dismissal of both Montero and the Minister of Justice, Pilar Llop, as those most responsible for the legislative change. However, the leader of the PP has rhetorically wondered if Pedro Sánchez will be able to order the dismissal of “a minister that he has not appointed”, in reference to the head of Equality, from United We Can.

The leader of the PP has made these statements after visiting the offices of the SIFU Group, in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat, which promotes the social and labor integration of people with disabilities, for which he has taken the opportunity to demand that the Government not “commit the mistake” of suppressing incentives for hiring people at risk of exclusion.

Accompanied by Alejandro Fernández, president of the Catalan PP, Feijóo has referred in a brief attention to the media to the opinion expressed by the Cercle d’Economia on the blockade by the popular of the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ ). “Since when is it not constitutional not to reach an agreement with the Government?” asked Feijóo, who has accused Pedro Sánchez of “playing with two cards” and of having been negotiating at the same time the repeal of the crime of sedition with CKD.

In this sense, the conservative leader has reiterated that the one who has “run over” the CGPJ has been the Government, since it has “usurped” its powers by trying to renew the members of the Constitutional Court but not those of the Supreme Court, which, from In his point of view, it constitutes a “fraudulent use” of executive power to impose itself on the judiciary. “The government prefers to politicize justice rather than depoliticize it, and to reduce judicial independence rather than deepen it,” he argued.

In a local key, on the burying of the train tracks as they pass through l’Hospitalet, a long-awaited claim because it divides the city in two, Feijóo has summoned the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, directed by the Catalan Raquel Sánchez, to comply with the budgeted and unexecuted works, which would contribute, he stressed, to “recover the credibility” of the State in Catalonia.
