Isa Pantoja does not feel the slightest bit of parascevedecatriaphobia, which is the irrational and unhealthy fear of Friday the 13th, the date she has chosen to marry Asraf Beno, her boyfriend since autumn 2018. On this long road to the altar, because the couple postponed their wedding on several occasions, Isabel Pantoja’s daughter has had time to reflect on what will be her third wedding at only 27 years old.
Pantoja and Beno got engaged in October 2020 after two years of dating. The model of Ceuta origin knelt by surprise at the Medina Azahara archaeological site, 8 kilometers from Córdoba. Although this is going to be the third wedding that Isa celebrates, it will be her first real relationship, since the previous ones were more related to Wednesday magazines and prime time television than to formalizing a relationship or changing marital status.
Her first wedding was celebrated in Mexico, on June 23, 2016, during a trip with Alejandro Albalá. The beautiful days of newlyweds did not last long for the couple because when the photographs arrived in Spain and were published they had already ended their relationship. “It is not valid in our country,” Isa said of that wedding shortly after starring on the cover of Diez Minutos, but the truth was that in Mexico they did have to file for divorce later.
A year later she had resumed her relationship with the father of her son, Alberto Isla, and while he was participating in Supervivientes Isa visited him. Upon seeing her, he asked her to marry him and they celebrated a wedding using the Garifuna rite, without legal validity, but with thousands of witnesses from the Cayos Cochinos. The curious thing was that Isa signed her divorce with al Albalá just a few hours before traveling to Honduras, so she divorced, got engaged and married again, although without legal validity, a few hours apart. Another wedding was not held in Spain because they did not last much longer together.
Then she went out with the singer Omar Montes, with whom she did not cross the altar, but they did participate in the same edition of Big Brother Vip, in which Isa would have been unfaithful to the artist with Asraf. “You stained my sneakers because you screwed my girlfriend,” Montes told Beno during his first meeting after starring with Isa in a quilting scene.
Isa Pantoja and Asraf Beno will celebrate another pantomime wedding this Friday, as the couple already got married civilly, and jointly, during this week, and they announced it on Instagram: “Although it may sound strange to me, we are already husband and wife. On Friday we celebrated in style with our people.”
The wedding will have a number of guests that will be between 170 and 200. The celebration will be somewhere between Arab and Spanish traditions, as stated by the protagonist a few months ago: “We will mix cultures, but it will not be a costume party. We are going to wear long dresses, like at an afternoon wedding. Surely there will be Arabic touches on the menu, in the desserts.”
The wedding will be held at the Hacienda Al-Baraka, a property that evokes the Arab world and is one of the most requested in Andalusia for this type of event. The place is located between the towns of Alcalá de Guadaira and Dos Hermanas, just 10 kilometers from the Seville capital.
The best kept secret is the bride’s dress, signed by designer Hannibal Laguna. But what will draw the most attention will be the absences from this wedding, since the attendance of the bride’s mother, Isabel Pantoja, and her brother, Kiko Rivera, are not expected to attend. Another well-known face that is in the air is that of Jorge Javier Vázquez, whom Isa Pantoja asked to accompany her to the altar.
