This Sant Esteve morning there were spectacular frosts on Gavà beach, in Baix Llobregat, and in the fields near the sea, as we see in La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos.

The frost has not only covered the crop fields that are still resisting in Gavà, but has also reached the beach, where users have left messages on the ice.

These morning frosts invite commemorative messages to be written on the ice, such as on car windshields, but they are then erased as the day progresses by the heat of the sun’s rays.

Gavà, located between the Garraf massif and the Llobregat Delta, has a municipal area of ??30.76 square kilometers, where it still preserves cultivated fields between the urban core and the beach area.

The four kilometers of maritime coastline and its approximately 3,500 hours of sunshine a year are one of its main tourist attractions, but that does not prevent these frosts from occurring in winter from time to time.
