The Catalan employers’ associations have asked politicians this Monday for “speed” to form a “strong” Government that faces the pending issues of autonomy and facilitates business activity, after regional elections that gave victory to the PSC but forced a support agreement. Organizations see it as an obligatory step to avoid more blockages and paralysis in management.

Foment del Treball, chaired by Josep Sánchez Llibre, urges in a statement to form a Government that is “strong, solvent and with a clear project”, which allows Catalonia to be projected on a global level and “leads Spanish economic policy”. “We ask the deputies for maximum responsibility to avoid a blockage in the Parliament. Neither the country nor the Catalans deserve it,” says the organization, focusing on the need for agreements. In particular, he calls for “yes or yes to make life easier for companies and not to be blocked by outdated debates.”

In a similar response, Pimec has added the need for “maximum speed” so that a “stable and strong” Government is configured, which responds to the needs and challenges of Catalonia.

With the opening of negotiations now, the organization chaired by Antoni Cañete demands “the need for a new Executive that is willing to reach great consensus to achieve the challenges that cannot continue to be ignored,” with financing, infrastructure or measures. in sustainability as examples.

The employers’ association points out that this task must be done “from dialogue, consensus and the will to agree”, and “keeping in mind the weight of SMEs and the self-employed as an economic engine and element of cohesion that guarantees progress.”

Thus, organizations are betting on similar recipes: dialogue, pacts and support for the company, with a stable Government that allows a favorable framework for business and economic growth.
