The Civil Guard has dismantled, in the so-called ‘Cerbero Vegas’ operation, a criminal group specialized in robberies with force committed by means of the moon landing method and the mace in numerous commercial establishments in the provinces of Madrid, Ciudad Real, Zaragoza and Salamanca.
The operation has been carried out by the Organized Crime Group of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard Command in Madrid and the detainees are attributed twenty criminal acts committed during the last two months.
The detainees are three Spanish men between the ages of 29 and 42 who add up to more than a hundred arrests and who for these events are accused of belonging to a criminal group, robbery in commercial establishments, theft of vehicles from engine and document forgery. After being made available to the competent judicial authority, their entry into prison was ordered.
His voracity for the theft of high-end vehicles put the Judicial Police agents specialized in this type of crime on the track, as reported by the Armed Institute.
Specifically, in May the researchers detected a significant increase in thefts of the same type of vehicle (make and model) and their involvement in different robberies in establishments specializing in the sale of electronic and computer equipment, as well as in tobacconists.
After managing to recognize one of the members, the identity of the other two people who made up the group was found, in the case of individuals from the Madrid neighborhood of Villaverde, known for their extensive criminal history and belonging to the trusted environment of a well-known Madrid alunicero.
The robberies were perpetrated at night and they had previously stolen several high-end vehicles with which they traveled to the places to carry out surveillance of the establishments and commit the act afterwards.
To gain access to the shops, they forced the closing metal gates and fractured the glass doors and windows by using large hammers.
Then, on the run, and in a matter of seconds they filled large raffia bags that they carried with the stolen material, quickly fleeing the place.
Some twenty robberies have been clarified in establishments dedicated to the sale of electronic and computer equipment, as well as tobacconists located mainly in commercial areas belonging to the provinces of Madrid, Ciudad Real, Zaragoza and Salamanca.
Last Monday they were arrested and with the corresponding judicial authorization three entries and searches were made at their homes in Ciempozuelos (Madrid), Cedillo del Condado and Lominchar (Toledo), where 8,000 euros in cash, kits for the theft of vehicles, tools for the commission of the facts and numerous packets of tobacco from the criminals.
