Delays on regional and Rodalies lines due to two new copper thefts

All the regional lines of Catalonia and part of those of Rodalies are running late due to two new copper thefts early this Sunday. The acts of vandalism in Empordà and Penedès have affected two very sensitive points of the network and at this point all lines circulate with alterations. The most serious, to lines R15 and R16, which connect Barcelona with Tarragona and the Ebro.

This is in addition to the fact that during the weekend many of these trains already take longer to make the journey due to the works that Adif is doing in Garraf. Some works that also cause half of the R2 South trains to stay at the Garraf station, therefore not reaching Sitges and Vilanova i la Geltrú.

In the R4, another incident has subsequently been added to the Girona regions. As reported by Renfe, the new act of vandalism causes delays of between 15 and 30 minutes on the R11 trains, in both directions, towards Figueres and Portbou as well as towards Barcelona. Regional services run on line R2 and with delays that can exceed 30 minutes.
