In Manlleu (Osona) I was able to capture these images of the spectacular sunrise with phantom clouds with a curtain of colored precipitation, double rainbows and with constant weather changes in the same morning, as can be seen in The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia.

Ghost clouds are short-lived. The arrival of a cold front or a strong air current are usually the precursors of these strange formations that quickly break up.

These clouds form mainly in the mountains and are not yet cataloged in the International Cloud Atlas of the WMO (World Meteorological Organization), as they do not conform to any of the genera, species and varieties that it includes.

Regarding the curtains of precipitation, the first thing to take into account is that if it reaches the surface it is called Praecipitatio (this is an additional feature of the clouds, since they start from them).

On the other hand, when this precipitation evaporates and disappears before reaching the ground, it is called virga.

In this changing dawn, in a meteorologically very lively sky over the Puig-agut sanctuary, the rainbow has also had its moment of prominence. And also double.

Although the rainbow is a continuous gradient of spectral colors, it is considered that these can be defined in seven fundamental colors: red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue and violet, which are equivalent to those mentioned by the scientist Isaac Newton in 1704. .

A rainbow or rainbow is an optical and meteorological phenomenon that consists of the appearance in the sky of an arc (sometimes two or more) of multicolored light.

Less frequent is the double rainbow, which includes a second, more subdued arc with inverted colors, that is, red inwards and violet outwards.
