Daniel Sancho, son of actor Rodolfo Sancho, confesses to having murdered a surgeon in Thailand

It is a particularly tense moment for actor Rodolfo Sancho. His son, Daniel Sancho, is under arrest after allegedly being accused of murdering a Colombian surgeon who was on vacation on an island in Thailand. The body was found dismembered inside some black bags located in a landfill in Koh Pha Ngan.

The son of the actor from El Ministerio del Tiempo y Mar de Plástico confessed to the murder, as reported by El Mundo. The 29-year-old man and the victim knew each other, and they traveled to Thailand as tourists. “His dubious activities of him indicate that he could murder the victim,” says Pany Niratimanon, the Koh Cha Ngan police chief, as reported by the aforementioned media.

As the Informalia portal points out, the father of the alleged murderer, the actor Rodolfo Sancho, would already be on his way to the Asian country. Apparently, he has tried to contact Spanish diplomatic representatives in Bangkok, but finally “has caught the first plane to come to the aid of his son.” Separately, authorities believe the body parts found in a dumpster on Thursday, including the hips and thighs, belong to a 44-year-old Colombian plastic surgeon named Edwin Arrieta Arteaga.

Daniel Sancho Bronchalo arrived in Thailand on July 31 as a tourist and confessed to having murdered the surgeon. “The victim and the suspect knew each other before coming to Thailand, and his dubious activities indicate that he may have murdered the victim,” Thai authorities said. The photos of the murder suspect appear to match images on the Instagram account of Daniel Sancho, who also follows the victim’s account. Both would know each other previously.

The local authorities decided this Friday to question Sancho as a suspect, who showed cuts and scratches on his body when he appeared at the police station, police sources told EFE. In addition, according to the latest information, the son of the renowned actor was caught buying knives, a saw and garbage bags at the beginning of the week. This is shown by security cameras in the area.

Sources from the young man’s environment suspect that everything could be a “trap” against Daniel, as Informalia advances. The newspaper assures that these sources believe that it is to “charge him with a murder” and add that, knowing the defendant from a very young age, “it is absolutely implausible” that he could have killed the doctor. These sources reveal to the medium that they have heard versions that suggest that Daniel “had been threatened with death” and forced “by third parties” and “under blackmail” to commit this brutal murder.
