Dabiz Muñoz’s “viral moment” of the year is already a tradition as deep-rooted as Cristina Pedroche’s Chimes dress. The Spanish chef published this Friday, two days before the bell and like every year, an image in which he wears the television presenter’s dress from the previous year.
This time, recreating the Madrid native’s great moment on television has been quite a challenge. Muñoz, with his distinctive touch of humor and rebellion, has managed to pull it off and the comments from users on his official Instagram account have not been long in coming.
“What I like most about Christmas is my stellar New Year’s Eve fashion moment…”, writes the Spanish chef next to the image in which he appears with the design that sought to honor refugees and called for peace. In an evident sarcastic tone, Muñón defends his great New Year’s Eve moment online and reveals how he has managed to replicate some details.
“It’s been 10 years now that I’ve been wearing Cristina Pedroche’s dress, giving her brutal competition and putting maximum pressure on her to see if she’s capable of at least matching it,” says the chef, who adds that, like Pedroche, she carried her daughter in her womb. Laia at the time of the Bells he also wanted to wink at her: “in her photos Cristina carried Laia in her tummy, in my photo, I carry her creamy butt in my arms,” ??he says.
