The Municipal Transport Company of Madrid (EMT Madrid) puts into operation a special bus service to replace the circulation of trains between the Atocha and Vicálvaro stations during the infrastructure works on lines C-2, C-7 and C- 8 Renfe commuter trains that run between this Wednesday and next Sunday.
The special EMT Madrid service has begun to operate on May 1 and 2 between the Atocha-Renfe interchange and the Vicálvaro station. The buses will begin their journey at the head of Atocha (node ??50010) at 05:42 hours and at the Vicálvaro station (node ??4011) at 06:16 hours. The last bus from Atocha will leave at 11:51 p.m. and from Vicálvaro station at 11:48 p.m.
The frequency of passage between 09:00 and 21:00 will be five minutes. From the beginning of the service until 9:00 a.m. it will be six to ten minutes and from 9:00 p.m. until the end of the service, the buses will circulate with a frequency of between six and eight minutes.
During the route, the special service will make intermediate stops at the Entrevías station, at the El Pozo station, at the Vallecas station and at the Santa Eugenia station.
Between May 3 and 5, the special service will continue between the El Pozo and Vicálvaro stations. The buses will begin their journey at the El Pozo stop (node ??4645) on May 3 at 05:48 a.m. and from the Vicálvaro station (node ??4011) at 06:16 a.m. The last bus from El Pozo will leave at 11:57 p.m. and from Vicálvaro station at 11:48 p.m. The frequency of passage on May 3 will be four minutes from the start of the service until 10:00 p.m.
From 10:00 p.m. until the end of the service, the buses will circulate with a frequency of seven to eight minutes. On May 4 and 5, the frequency of passage from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. will be eight minutes. From the beginning of the service until 8:00 a.m. it will be nine to eleven minutes and between 10:00 p.m. and the end of the service it will be nine to ten minutes.
During the route, the special service will make intermediate stops at the Vallecas station and the Santa Eugenia station.
As an alternative to this special line, EMT Madrid proposes users to use the following lines of its network: line 54 (Atocha Station-Congosto), line 58 (Puente Vallecas-Barrio de Santa Eugenia), line 102 (Atocha Station- El Pozo Station), line 103 (El Pozo-Ecobulevar Station) and T31 (El Pozo-Sierra de Guadalupe Station) which operates only on weekdays. And the night lines N11 (Plaza de Cibeles-Madrid Sur) and N25 (Plaza de Alonso Martínez-Villa de Vallecas).
