Workers from the Center Penitenciari Ponent, in Lleida, have been gathering at the prison doors since early this Friday.
The action is part of the cycle of protests that began following the death of a cook at the hands of an inmate in the Mas d’Enric prison on March 13.
The workers are at the access to the penitentiary center but they are not blocking it and there are agents from the Mossos d’Esquadra.
The protest also coincides with the resumption of negotiations between the unions and the Department of Justice. This Thursday, a first technical meeting of the joint working group on security took place, which ended with few details.
