Cod brandade is a classic that cannot be missing on Christmas tables, whether with canapés, volovanes or as a filling for some peppers. This recipe is developed by the Alícia Foundation, which offers a lighter alternative to the traditional recipe, with lower fat content and a healthier profile, but just as tasty. Therefore, it is a more suitable option for those people with health problems such as hyperlipidemia, hypertension or diabetes.

The recipe has been created for one of the projects that Alicia’s multidisciplinary team is working on within the development framework of the Strategic Food Plan of Catalonia (PEAC). Specifically, dedicated to traditional Catalan cuisine to highlight its products, preparations and all the benefits it brings both to the health of the population, and to adequately preserve the rural environment, the primary sector and the restoration of the area.
