The episode of rain that began yesterday, Friday, continues and the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya reports that it will culminate on Monday with intense rain that is expected to alleviate the drought situation of recent months.
Therefore, Civil Protection of the Generalitat continues with the alert of the Special Flood Emergency Plan of Catalonia (INUNCAT) for a warning of accumulation of rain, with the threshold of 100 liters per square meter being exceeded in the northwest of the Catalan territory.
In a statement, they explained that the episode is expected to affect the regions of the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees of Lleida, although the regions of Berguedà, Ripollès and Cerdanya may also be affected, with less probability.
At the moment, no notable incidents have been reported on the part of CAT112, and the Meteorological Service of Catalonia (SMC) has not reported exceeding the warning threshold.
On the other hand, the episode of rain intensity greater than 20 millimeters in 30 minutes continues for this Saturday with showers that will be accompanied by storms and hail or stones starting at noon in the western part of the country.
Starting at dawn on Sunday, the phenomenon will move towards the central and part of the southern coastal strip, and throughout the morning it will extend towards the northeast of the territory and Central Catalonia.
Civil Protection recommends that citizens be very careful when moving through areas that may be affected by this episode of precipitation, and also when doing outdoor activities.
