The tour of the Castellers de Vilafranca through Mexico, where they continue the work they have been doing for years to internationalize the human tower world, stopped yesterday at the mythical pyramids of Teotihuacán, “the city of the gods.” Some 200 castellers built some of their creations next to the impressive pre-Columbian constructions, declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.
The Castellers, on a trip that marks the end of their 75th anniversary, arrived in Mexico City on Friday to present the Catalan Week in Mexico, which will feature exhibitions of human towers in the most important places in the country.
The group’s first performance took place on Saturday in front of Freixenet México, in the state of Querétaro, where they raised the 5 of 7, the 4 of 8, the 3 of 7, the tower of 7 and the span of 5. Already on Sunday, those from Vilafranca They returned to the capital to perform in front of the Angel of Independence and the Monument to the Revolution.

With this trip, the Castellers of Vilafranca reaffirm their commitment to disseminate the world of human towers and Catalan culture around the world, as they have done previously on international trips to countries such as Chile, the United States, India and China.
