Likewise, the Seville councilor has announced that the possibility of granting the Spanish “myth of cinema” the title of Favorite Daughter posthumously on May 30, 2024 on the occasion of the day of San Fernando, patron saint of the Andalusian capital, is being studied. .

José Luis Sanz has highlighted that Carmen Sevilla “walked the name” of the city “throughout the world”. “She insisted on putting Seville as an artistic name” and for these merits, the municipal government will propose in the first ordinary plenary session the labeling of a street with her name.

Born on October 16, 1930 in Seville, she had suffered from Alzheimer’s since 2009 and due to her very deteriorated health she was admitted to a residence in Aravaca (Madrid) in March 2015. Last Sunday she was transferred to the hospital, where she died.
