Rafael Amargo has canceled the play that was going to premiere this Thursday, The Beautiful Dream of Life, at the Marquina Theater in Madrid, according to El Español, due to “internal disputes” that have precisely led to the resignation of the director in question Nicholas Perez Costa.
The disagreement has forced the suspension of the next performances, waiting to know whether or not it will be possible to resume in the future. Based on the book of the same name by Domingo Zapata, the work was scheduled to be shown to the public every Thursday in August, from August 4 to 28.
The attending public, waiting for this to be the final decision, has not hidden its surprise on social networks, since days ago the promotion that was made about this new work was multiple. In fact, Domingo Zapata himself even offered a free pass for anyone who wanted to enjoy the play next Friday. An announcement that has disappeared from the official website in the last few hours.
Yerma, Amargo’s previous work, was also canceled on the same day of the premiere, although for different reasons, since he was arrested.
