The National Police have arrested two parents in Valladolid for a fight that began over their children’s turn to use a swing and ended with punches and the use of a baseball bat.
As reported by police sources this Thursday, it was last night at 10:30 p.m. when the agents received a notice about a fight in Patricia Park. When they arrived, the police officers observed a crowd of people and two men with injuries.
The agents began the efforts to determine what had happened and found that, moments before, a discussion had started between two parents of some minor users of the park, motivated by the turn to use one of the swings.
The discussion at one point escalated and one of the two men punched the other in the face, for which he left the park.
Moments later, the victim followed the person who had hit him carrying a baseball bat with which he hit him on the head. Given this fact, the other man began to punch him in the face until they were separated by the witnesses present.
The two involved were informed of their arrest for a crime of injuries and transferred to hospital centers for an assessment of their injuries.
One of the men sustained head and rib trauma and required twelve scalp sutures, while the other suffered a fractured nose and loss of several teeth. Those arrested have been released after giving a statement and forwarding the proceedings to the corresponding court.
