One of the novelties in the capital for Christmas this year is Brilla Madrid Zoo, a fantastic journey through nature that recreates various ecosystems and habitats, such as the ocean, the desert, the forest, the jungle and the mangrove.
On the night walk, which lasts about two hours on a 1.3 kilometer route, you can see 450 giant animal figures in more than 30 different scenes. In addition to lions, giraffes or rhinos, you can enjoy seeing species that no longer exist and others that fight to survive.
The park, which has been set up by the company Brilla Investments, with the sponsorship of El Corte Inglés, is open from November 23rd to January 14th.
Tickets are sold individually or in packs. General admission costs 25 euros, plus management fees of 1.99 euros. And the children’s ones (from 3 to 12 years old) cost 20 euros, the same price as for those over 65 years old. Children up to 2 years old do not pay.
If you choose to purchase them together, three general tickets in the flamenco package cost 22.5 euros each, plus 1.99 euros for management fees. The kangaroo pack (2 adult tickets and one child ticket) costs 21.67 euros each. While the octopus pack (4 general tickets) can be purchased for 22.5 euros each person. The pollinating experience, where the visitor becomes the protagonist, costs an additional 3 euros.
In addition, an App Brilla Madrid application has been created, available for Apple and Android, with which the visitor obtains information about the route and an interactive map with detailed descriptions of each scene.
For Javier Jaramillo, director of Brilla Investments, the organizing company, “it is a unique show of its kind, which combines the beauty of nature with the magic of light.” To which he adds: “It is an unforgettable immersive educational experience to learn and reflect on the environment and animals.”
The park has free parking very close to the entrance to the exhibition and the ticket office, which is accessed through the Juan Borbón roundabout. The hours are from 5:40 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on December 24 and 31 it will be closed. If you choose to go by metro, the closest line is line 8 at the Feria de Madrid stop.
As a peculiarity, this park allows the entry of pet dogs, but they must be kept on a leash and any waste they may leave must be picked up.
On the other hand, a gastronomic space of more than 2,000 square meters has been installed with different restaurants.
