Sofía Cristo, the daughter of Ángel Cristo and Bárbara Rey, has not had an easy life. She recognized ten years ago that she had a drug problem: “I’m addicted,” she explained in an interview with Sálvame Deluxe. At that time, she began a tough detoxification process, which she successfully overcame.

Now, the DJ is clean of any addiction. And it adds up to a decade. Bárbara Rey’s daughter has not hesitated to celebrate it, holding a party in which she has invited her closest family and friends.

“Today I am ten years clean from drugs and alcohol, and yesterday I celebrated it with some of the people I love, admire and respect. My family and friends, you give me love, trust and peace. Thank you, ”Sofía Cristo wrote this Sunday in an Instagram post.

Although he acknowledges that this time has not been easy: “Life in these ten years has shown me that you always have to keep working on yourself and that it is constant learning and personal growth. It all adds up and is for something. I am happy and I am proud to move forward and with more enthusiasm than ever for the life that I am building”.

In her publication, the DJ has dedicated some affectionate words to her mother, Bárbara Rey: “Mom, you are my hero. Thank you for teaching me so much and so beautiful. I love you strong.”

“Friend Pipi (My Mercy), I dedicate these ten years to you for being my everything and making me see that life is wonderful to the skin. You were and will always be an inspiration to me. You are always in my heart and I know that where you are you are fine. Even though I feel you close I miss you a lot. Here I am to keep my promise and follow your advice. I love you ”, she continued in her publication.

His friends have also celebrated the Christ milestone. “I know very well that it has not been easy and that not every day one gets up with the same strength, but you have been gaining motivation and desire for ten years to be the best version of yourself. No drugs, no alcohol, but also with the best possible attitude towards life, come how it comes. And that is why I love you and admire you so much”, assured Javier Sánchez, a friend and colleague by profession.

Sánchez closed with a confident message: “I couldn’t be more proud of you and the example you are for everyone. Thank you very much for letting me see how you grow up close and being able to enjoy each challenge overcome by your side. Go for another 10, 20, 70… You are the best!” he added.
