So, like, there’s this new body camera video that shows some images of three teens who are apparently still on the run. They’re like, in some mob thing with ties to a migrant youth gang, and they allegedly attacked two NYPD officers in Times Square. Crazy, right?
The video shows two of the suspects all masked up, looking sketchy as heck. But one of them, who’s reportedly as young as 15, is just wearing a black undershirt and like, has his fists up in the air. The Deputy Mayor of Public Safety, Kaz Daughtry, spilled the tea and said that the officers in Times Square thought they were breaking up a fight. But nah, the bodycam footage reveals that they were actually stopping a robbery from going down.
Daughtry mentioned that the officers had to make a quick decision right then and there. Apparently, this group of troublemakers was trying to rob two other kids. Thankfully, the officers weren’t seriously injured, even though they got hit with scooters, basketballs, and some makeshift weapons. Thank goodness these punks weren’t packing heat, or things could’ve gotten real ugly, according to Daughtry.
