Bayern, FC Barcelona’s next rival in the Champions League, did not pass this Saturday a draw (2-2) in their own field against Stuttgart, with which they have three consecutive games without winning in the Bundesliga. In fact, it is the third draw in a row for the Bavarian team after those against Borussia Mönchengladbach and against Union Berlin.

Bayern, after a start in which they had difficulty reaching the rival area, had chances to sentence when the game was 2-1 but in the end they ended up conceding the tie due to a penalty sanctioned by the VAR and converted by Guirassy in added time. Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann made six changes to the starting line-up from the team that had started in Wednesday’s 2-0 win against Inter.

In defense, Noussair Mazraoui and Dayot Upamecano entered the team in place of Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez. In the double pivot Leon Goretzka was at the side of Joshua Kimmich instead of Marcel Sabitzer and later Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry and Matthys Tel took the positions of Leroy Sané, Kingsley Coman and Sadio Mané.

Despite everything, Bayern had clear advantages in terms of ball position from the start but were slow to find their way into the area and showed many inaccuracies in the last third. Only after half an hour of play did Bayern begin to show more danger. The first alarm came just in the 30th minute when, after a Mazraoui cross from the right, goalkeeper Florian Müller had to make two consecutive saves before successive shots from Tel and Gnabry.

In minute 34 a shot by Gnabry went slightly over and in minute 36 came the goal scored by Tel with a left-footed shot inside the area to Alphonso Davies’ center from the left. The play was started by a pass from Kimmich from the center circle that Davies received near the area to, after getting rid of Mavropanos with a dribble, serve the goal to Tel who became the youngest player in Bayern history to score a goal in the Bundesliga.

In the 57th minute, after Davies lost the ball at the start, Stuttgart equalized with a goal from Chris Führich from a pass from Mavropanos. Three minutes later Bayern took the lead again, with a shot from Musiala inside the area, and in the 62nd minute Gnabry missed a great chance.

The tie came in the 92nd minute. The VAR sanctioned a penalty due to a foul by De Light on Guirissary, who took charge and converted.

The tie reaches Bayern to provisionally assume the leadership thanks to the fact that Borussia Dortmund fell to RB Leipzig and that Freiburg only plays tomorrow.
