I don’t know if it’s advertising, a gene from the first hominids or a habit from childhood, but I usually feel the need for a sweet taste when I finish eating. Especially in that indefinite space between lunch and nap.

And it is that a meal with dessert feels like a complete meal, like a natural order of things. However, we also know that this regular consumption of sugar is neither healthy nor recommended. And some, like me, notice it at the waist.

That is why I have chosen to satisfy that need with some fruit after eating. If I want to have a more “dessert” feel, I cut it into pieces and serve it on a plate. If the need persists, I reato with a handful of raisins.

Perhaps the ideal would be not even to feel that need and to be able to banish that sweet moment after the meal. But in the meantime, that fruit for dessert helps me save calories and upset.
