The Barcelona City Council is drafting the project to be able to remove the monument to the Fallen from Castell de Montjuïc in the “coming weeks”.

The councilor for Democratic Memory, Jordi Rabassa, recalled that the council must withdraw it and that in the coming weeks “it will disappear from the public space”, he said at a press conference this Wednesday.

Rabassa recalled that this monument “served the Castell de Montjuïc to explain all this architecture and therefore to contextualise, especially with young people, what Francoism was and what Francoist repression was”.
