Barça will announce the signing of Hansi Flick next Monday, according to Mundo Deportivo. The German coach, winner of the sextet with Bayern in 2020 and former Germany coach during the 2022 World Cup, will be Xavi Hernández’s replacement for next season.

The details of the agreement are just being finalized, although Barça wants the 59-year-old coach to sign a one-year contract plus an optional one depending on the objectives.

The meeting last Wednesday between Deco and Flick has finished convincing the FC Barcelona board that the German is the perfect replacement for Xavi Hernández. Furthermore, Joan Laporta is a clear supporter of the former Bayern coach, whom he has taken into consideration since 2021, before the Egarense arrived at the Barça team.

A meeting between Laporta, Deco and Xavi was scheduled for next Monday, when Flick’s hiring will be announced. However, the meeting took place this morning in the sports city of Sant Joan Despí, where the president has informed the Catalan coach that he will not continue leading the Barça bench.
