Barcelona and Nuria Rábano have reached an agreement for the termination of the left-back’s contract, which ended on June 30, 2024, as reported by the Catalan entity on Tuesday.
Rábano, who arrived last summer from Real Sociedad, says goodbye to the Catalan club after having won the Spanish Super Cup, the League and the Champions League in his only season at Barça.
It has not been an easy year for the Galician, who recently confessed in Relevo to having dealt with anxiety problems. “In October or November is when I decide to contact a psychologist because I wanted to grow, to know where all that could come from. In the end that reflects on yourself, on the confidence when you are playing, it is reflected on the field. I noticed it , there will be people who have noticed it too. In a team like Barça, the demand and everything that implies”, he explained.
It has been very difficult for Rábano to be away from her family in these difficult moments, but with the help of a psychologist, she has come out stronger: “Removing all that that she carried inside, knowing how to manage it and focus it on something else, now it has helped me to live everything I have lived and see it with another perspective”, he confessed in Relevo.
The 24-year-old Galician has played 15 home games over the last year, always behind Fridolina Rolfö, the undisputed starter for the coach, Jonathan Giráldez.
