Badalona will increase the salary of the Urban Guard agents by 7%

The municipal government will increase the salaries of the agents of the Badalona Urban Guard (Barcelonès Nord) by 7%. This salary increase, which occurs thanks to the agreements reached by the General Negotiation Table with the unions, will be approved during the next plenary session to be held.

In addition to this increase, in the ordinary plenary session held this Monday the revaluation of the special holiday bonus was approved, which in the case of the Urban Guard agents implies a bonus of 132.65 euros for all agents who work in the national, regional and local holidays approved annually. With the opinion approved yesterday in Plenary, the number of these holidays increases to 14 days in total.

Mayor Xavier Garcia Albiol has indicated that “one of my priorities as mayor is to improve security in the city and for the Urban Guard to provide the service that we all want it to do, we are making a great effort to improve both its material resources and its conditions. economic, which are below other police forces in different cities and which until now has caused different agents to leave for other municipal bodies.”

Garcia Albiol has highlighted that to achieve this objective “we have increased the staff of the Urban Police with the incorporation of 23 agents and the call for 46 new positions, we have allocated 1.5 million to improve the Turó d’en Caritg police station. and in the coming weeks the Special Police Intervention Group (GEIP), a unit specialized in conflict interventions, will begin patrolling.”
