The Badalona City Council and the unions IAC-CATAC, UGT, SIP-FEPOL and CCOO have signed an agreement this Wednesday that represents an increase in the amount intended to improve the productivity system of municipal workers and that includes a new framework agreement with commitments to improvements for the municipal workforce. The signing ceremony was attended by the first deputy mayor and councilor for Treasury and Finance, Internal Resources, Education, Sports and Citizen Security, Juan Fernández, and the councilor for Human Resources, Eva Guillén.
The signed resolution, agreed upon at the General Negotiation Table, held last March, contains twelve agreements that make up the Protocol of action between the municipal government and the union sections of the Badalona City Council, with the aim of improving working and economic conditions. of the municipal staff during this mandate. This set of agreements also includes a new productivity system for staff.
Said Protocol provides for the following actions:
7. Develop systems that allow horizontal and vertical professional careers.
The new productivity system, which is established in the fourth point of this Protocol, will be applied during the years 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027. This new system includes evaluation for both base personnel and commanders and provides that they will be evaluated the objectives achieved, the employee’s performance and the continuous training carried out.
The first deputy mayor of the Badalona City Council, Juan Fernández, highlights that the new productivity system allows the work and effort of the staff to be encouraged and valued and contributes to promoting the productivity and effectiveness of the City Council. “With the signing of the Action Protocol between the municipal government and the union sections of the City Council we establish a clear roadmap with the Government’s commitments to improve the working conditions of the municipal staff, which will improve the functioning of the ‘City Hall’, Fernández has assured.
