At least six people were slightly injured in a fire in a ten-story building on Córdoba street with Jumilla street in Badalona this Monday.

The Firefighters received the notice of the incident minutes after 7:15 p.m., and they explain that due to the flames, some residents were evicted and others were confined. They sent seven crews, which ventilated the stairs, affected by smoke, and checked the floors.

At the end of the operation, they indicated that the fire completely burned a room and affected the rest of the floor where the flames originated. Neighbors on this floor and above will not be able to spend the night at home. There are 38 floors in the block, 12 of which have been affected by smoke.

After reviewing the building, the Firefighters went on to inspect the closed floors to rule out that there are people inside or to ventilate if necessary.

As for the slightly injured, the eleven ground units activated by the Medical Emergency System (SEM) have transferred four to Germans Trias i Pujol hospital and one to Badalona CUAP. A sixth person was awaiting transfer.

Members of the Barcelona Fire Brigade, the Mossos, the Local Police as well as the SEM, participated in the operation. Technicians from the supplying companies also traveled to the place.
